Bill-split group orders

At Uber Eats, I led the initiative to expand our successful group ordering feature to accomplish something so many people want when ordering food — the ability to effortlessly split the bill on their order.
I worked with a team across Uber Eats and Uber for Business (U4B) to design our first bill-split order system, with a focus on both casual and corporate customers.
Group order creators can use their personal or corporate profiles, and choose whether they want to pay for everyone or not
People in a group order can see what others have added to their carts and whether they’re ready or not
Participants in a group order can be added into one by a message or email
Payment details are a complex piece of this project. I designed affordances to better understand totals and corporate expense handling
